I decided to create a theme for this year’s blog. Each month, I will blog on a different topic that is related to being an office goddess.
If Nigella is the epitome of domestic goddess, what makes an office goddess?” Let me first tell you what it isn’t.
It doesn’t matter what you do or what you make. It’s not about living in luxury and eating at Starbucks every day. It’s not about baking cookies for your team, or delivering fresh flowers at work.
It doesn’t really matter what you wear. It’s partly about what you wear. No one will take you seriously if you bring a bag and shoes to work. It’s not about wearing Prada or carrying a LV bag. This will be covered in March.
Being a workplace goddess means being a master at your job. It’s about making everything look effortless. A office goddess is someone who knows everything and knows where to find it.
An office goddess is calm, intelligent and professional. She is the goddess of the office. She doesn’t want her role to be a burden. She is a workplace goddess and a positive influence on her coworkers. She doesn’t have be at her desk for 20 hours per day or a doormat. Or sleeping with her boss. This should be obvious, however, I will still say it in the event you had an ill-conceived idea.
It’s about getting great work results without feeling exhausted or clingy.
Do you find this familiar?
