Let’s now discuss the new Microsoft retiring exams. On August 31, 2017, the OEM Preinstallation for Windows 10 (70-734) exam was withdrawn. It is no longer available, as you can see. However, the second exam will be retired on September 30, 2017, so you can still get Microsoft certification.
The Universal Windows Platform – App Data, Services and Coding Patterns (70-355) exam is part of the MCSD, MCP certifications. This exam is designed to assess a candidate’s ability to implement apps that use other services and devices, and that use best coding practices in order to improve maintainability.
Candidates should be able:
Recognize and use a specific design pattern.
Develop app and business logic, create code that interfaces to other line-ofbusiness (LOB), apps and LOB Server Services. (AD, SP).
Create code to implement secure cloud data storage and services.
Create code to implement authentication requirements and business security.
Develop code that is easy to maintain and that supports app versions, compatibility, and coexistence.
Integrate cloud services with Azure App Service services.
Candidates should have:
1 or more years experience in designing and implementing enterprise LOB applications that extend beyond the screen and interconnect with other apps, devices and services. These apps are highly maintainable through the use of design patterns.
1 to 2 years experience in developing with C# or XAML
