The Lightsail console has been updated to reflect the expansion of available resources. This allows users to easily manage resources distributed across different regions.
Users can view all their static IP addresses and instance in one pane, regardless if they are located in the same region. They can search for resources in specific regions or across all regions.
Lightsail competes with similar services offered by hosting providers such as Linode, Vultr, and DigitalOcean. It allows developers to quickly and inexpensively launch VPSes in the AWS cloud. You can choose from five plans that come with pre-configured memory, vCPU capacities, and data transfer rates. All plans are priced between $5 and $80 per monthly.
